At Mes Amis Toys, creativity comes to life through one-of-a-kind crochet creations made with love and youthfulness. Shayla, the founder of Mes Amis Toys, discovered her passion for crocheting in early 2024 when she made a special set of turtles for her best friends as a Valentine’s Day gift. What started as a simple act of love soon unraveled into a true enjoyment for making toys and life-sized statues.

After completing her Bachelor of Science, Shayla worked in Telehealth and Healthcare Technology for 2 years. However, a layoff in 2024 gave her the opportunity to explore her creativity with yarn and carpentry. With this newfound freedom, Shayla used her time to expand her social media presence, where her crochet statues series went viral.

Where did the name Mes Amis Toys come from? Mes Amis, translates to "My Friends" in French, and "Amigurumi," is the crochet style used in the premise of our world. Each Ami is not just a toy or a statue; it is a member of our circle of friends, made with hours of dedication and love.

Our mission is to cultivate a community where creativity thrives and crocheters are inspired to think outside the box. By sharing our knowledge and passion, we aim to encourage others to seek their inner child and let their creativity flourish.
